Australian Masters Champ – 5th PBA title, 2nd WBT title and 1st Aussie Masters title

October 27th, 2012

Hey hey everyone,

I have had many people ask me to give a run down of how the final match against Rash went.
It was a best of 3 games final.

Game 1:
I was using a Roto Grip Berserk (a ball that good mate Mick Little helped me lay out before the 3rd round of the finals on Friday, big cheers to him for that help) trying to do what i had done in the previous 2 rounds, which seemed to work well for me.
It was a low scoring affair in the final, neither of us looked good out there early on.
Rash missed 2 easy spares and I left two splits and neither of us had doubled. After his 7 pin miss in the 8th frame,...

Belmo Vs Vin Gerard

July 23rd, 2012

Hey hey everyone,

This week has been a funny week. Recently a professional wrestler named Vin Gerard has come out and called pro bowlers – horrible (see his video here )

This has sparked a little fire in the belly of bowlers around the world. As you can see, it’s all for a little fun, but i thought it would be appropriate and a little fun to respond with a video of my own (check that out here

Comments on facebook and twitter have been plentiful and many of them have been quite funny.

Feel free to add your own comments also.

10: You’re bowlng funny. – (That’s because i am funny)

9: You’re bowling illegally!! – (Shhh, don’t tell anyone)

8: Do you put your fingers in the holes? – (Yes, just my pinky and my thumb)

7: Is that how they bowl ‘down under’? – (Only on Sundays)

6: Do you golf 1 handed? – (Only on the Wii)

5: Hey, your logo on your back looks like a bug. – (Is that why people keep smacking me on the back then saying sorry)

Get back up

September 10th, 2011

I bowled in Korea couple weeks ago. Prior to that event I had busted my behind to work on my game and make sure I was not only ready to compete, but be a threat to the leaders. The weeks and weeks of early morning wake ups to train, dedication and time I spent making the new changes to my game feel ‘normal’ did not have the effect on my game as I thought they would.
I’ll tell you, it’s hard to bowl bad and not make the cut and get over it when you didnt prepare yourself at all, it’s even harder to get over it when you know how hard you worked and how much preparation you did leading up to it.
So how do I deal with the knock out punch to the heart after working...

My thoughts

June 19th, 2011

I was maybe 7 or 8 years old. The Orange Open was on and it saw many of Australia’s best bowlers come to town. For us small town locals, seeing these guys who could curve the ball and shoot well over 200 every game was a sight we all loved. I was so excited, bursting to just jump out of the car and see those I idolized.
The bowling centre was packed, finding my favourite player wasn’t easy, but a few games in I had found him. I remember trying to see his every shot, peering through the legs of those in front of me. After he struck one shot, I stuck my arm through the crowd to get to him and offered him a high 5 for the shot. He looked down at me and said “I don’t give 5, that’s for girls.”

February 22nd, 2011

Boys and girls -
The PBA is now in Jersey and we are bowling in the hardest event in the world. The US OPEN.

The way you have to play this event is much different to any other event. 200 is a great game and no matter how bad it looks, you have to stay positive and make every spare you leave. I started my first game with a Prodigy playing 18 at the arrows to 10 at the breakpoint.
A little slow roll, up the back of the ball to try and tame the backend reaction. I had a great look, but a few nerves got in the way and i started 196.
I moved further left for the rest of the block, throwing it 26 to 14 with a Hy-Road. I was very gentle at the bottem with my fingers, just letting the...

Welcome 2011

January 4th, 2011

As a new year resolution, I plan to keep my website updated on a weekly basis. I know I have been a little slack in that department, so I plan to make it up to all my fans this year by writing weekly here about my thoughts, my bowling and anything else I think may be entertaining to read.
2010 was a year filled with some of my most amazing achievements. Nothing beat having my first child Aria Rose. The new year saw her first birthday and seeing your child grow and learn is a sight that you can not describe, it can only be felt.

The PBA season is half way through and I am sitting 2nd in the points behind the current ‘best bowler in the world’ Bill O’Neill. William is also...

Month Update

September 25th, 2010

Hey guys – I know it’s been way too long so I will tell you everything that has happened this month.

This will be a little long, but it will cover The Samho Korea Cup victory and the Japan Storm Fair -

Side note – you can also click on the pictures to enlarge them

I flew to Korea for 2 reasons. The first was to do some coaching clinics with Sean Rash and Parker Bohn on a few US Military Bases. Sean, Parker and I had a really great time working together. Both guys are funny and have a bunch of stories to tell. Most days we discussed the PBA Tour or bowling in general. It’s nice to talk about our game in a positive manner and both these guys...
