Tournament of Champions – The full story
January 28th, 2010
Hey hey everyone,
I have had some dramas with my internet availability causing me to be unable to write on here for a week or so. So i have lots to catch up on.
First things first – TOC!
This was my first TOC, i was nervous and excited at the same time and I really wanted to do well not just for myself. but time away from Kimberly and Aria means I have to not waste my time away, make it worth while leaving.
The first 8 games could not of gone any better.
214-212-299 (left a stupid 4 pin) 208-244-191-213-259 @ +240
Sitting 3rd and bowling great – a couple of bad breaks here and there but overall, i was extremely happy with my...

Earl Anthony Classic – day 3 – Finals
January 19th, 2010
After bowling really well in qualifying, finishing 2nd, i earned a bye into the round of 16.
My first match was against my great mate Andres Gomez from Mexico (whoops I mean Columbia – Andres will find that funny). Andres and I have bowled with and against each other for many years around the world. I knew exactly what he was capable of, so I knew I had to bowl great!
It was a rough start for me – losing 3 of the first 4 games. Thats horrible considering its the first for 4 wins in a best of 7.
The biggest punch in the guts was in the 5th game. Needing 9 spare Strike for the win, I proceeded with 9 spare, 8 to lose by one, give Andres that commanding...

Earl Anthony Classic – PBA Tour – Day 2
January 15th, 2010
So today was a very important day.
I was sitting 2nd behind Tommy Jones and I had 7 more games left of qualifying. These 7 games were very important if I want to go into the matchplay rounds with a bye or not.
The top 28 people make the cut, but the top 4 get a 1st round bye (and a sleep in haha). This bye puts you straight into the round of 16 and only 2 wins away from the TV show. So i knew what I had to do.
First game on the 2nd round i came out on FIRE – 280. Everything just clicked and i was bowling great. The lanes though had changed considerably from the day before. I was 3 arrows left to start the day, meaning come the last game, the lanes would...

Earl Anthony Classic – PBA TOUR
January 13th, 2010
Today was the start of the Earl Anthony classic here in San Francisco – The bowling centre itself was once owned by the great man himself, so it was unreal to walk through the same doors as the legend.
I was hoping that Earl could knock over a few pins for me as well haha.
The day started off great – 225, 300, 225 (that brings my PBA 300 tally to 3 and career tally to 40) I was using the new Storm ball called the Invasion. Its got a new core and cover and to be honest I wasnt sure how it would roll for me….after that start though, I have no doubts that I will be using this ball a bunch on tour.
I hit a little slow patch in the middle and then finished...

Best Day of My Life
January 6th, 2010
Hey hey everyone,
For as long as my heart beats, January 2nd, 2010 will forever be one of the most
proud moments in my life – Once a bub in side my wonderful wife’s belly, is now a
bub who entered the world with eyes wide open and a pair of lungs Pavarotti would of
been proud of.
Weighing 9lbs 14.5oz, standing 53cm tall and wearing a pair of deep
blue eyes, Aria Rose Belmonte became our first child.
She also became the first grand child to both my parents and Kimberly’s Parents and she became the first niece
to Kj’s brother and his wife and my sister and her fiance.
As first time parents, we have been thrown into...

December 13th, 2009
2 of my best mates on tour Mike Fagan and William O’Neill are both bowling for the title this Sunday.
William is bowling for his 2nd and his first MAJOR – The World Championships. Billy has been in great form the last few years and its gerat to see that his hard work and great form are paying off.
Mike is competing for his first singles title. Mike bowled unbelievable at the Pepsi Red White and Blue event held this week. Mike averaged nearly 250 for 48 games and came home on fire to make it.

Practicing – Does it really help?
December 10th, 2009
Does practice really do as much ‘good’ as everyone says it does?
Last weekend I bowled in Australia’s biggest event. I ended up coming 3rd but over all I felt like for 90% of the event I was in horrible form.
I had picked up a ball twice in 6 weeks before bowling that event. Thinking talent was enough to win. It wasn’t.
It got me thinking, how important is practice. I began to look back at the practice I have done in the past and the form I was in during that practice period.
Every event I had won or every event I felt like I was bowling great in, I was doing some kind of practice prior to those events. EVERY SINGLE ONE.
Now...

AMF Australia Cup – 3rd Place
December 7th, 2009
December 5th and 6th was the dates of one of Australia’s biggest events, AMF Australia Cup.
Tuggeranong, Canberra was the city and the bowling centre was a place that has been very kind to me. I had won in this bowl more than half a dozen times and had placed 2nd or 3rd at least another half dozen times.
Orange is about 4 hours drive, so Kimberly and I left the morning of, and arrived into Canberra an hour before I started.
The format:
12 games qualifying, then cut to the top 16. Then it would be a round robin, 15 game final, with 20 pins for a win.
The lane condition was brutal. Any miss left was high and and miss right was missing the head pin.
